The “Judith M” fishes many species including Black Sea Bass and Taug, Jacks, Triggerfish, Trout, Flounder, Croakers, Blues, and many other species. We fish the wrecks, rocks and reefs off the Delmarva coast.
Tickets
Tickets are sold on a first come/ first served basis. The marina has computerized ticket sales, so you are able to buy tickets in advance of the day you would like to go. During the summer we suggest that you stop by the marina and get your tickets in advance. Please keep in mind that the receipt you get is your ticket. You will need your ticket to board the boat. We do not take reservations during the summer season.
Cancellation And Refund Policy
If the Captain determines the weather to be too bad, he will cancel the trip and we will refund all money to customers. Only the Captain makes this decision. There are no refunds under any circumstances other than this. We sail rain or shine. The usual weather factor that stops us from sailing is high winds; not rain, (The fish don’t know it’s raining). If you buy a ticket in advance, and it happens to be raining that day, do not expect a refund. Please remember, All Ticket sales are final.
Schedule, Trip Dates, and Trip Times
Between Memorial Day and Labor Day the Judith M Fishing and Cruising Schedule repeats weekly. Departure times and trip duration change daily. Prior to Memorial Day and after Labor Day the schedule changes depending on the weather and number of anglers.
Crew
We have a friendly, helpful crew that will assist you during the trip. Our mates are not allowed to fish, because it is their job to help you,the customer. We try our best to make sure you have an enjoyable day. We take customer service seriously, and our crew works hard to take good care of our patrons.
What To Bring
You can bring your own rod and reel or you can rent one on the boat. (It’s $5 to rent a rod & reel) You can bring your lunch or you can buy it onboard. We have a galley that serves breakfast sandwiches, hot dogs, snacks, candy, soda, water, coffee etc. The boat has a MD Liquor License and has a full bar. It is against MD law to bring any alcoholic beverages aboard. If you would like to have a few beers during the trip, that is fine; however please keep in mind that excessive drinking will not be tolerated.
Sunscreen, a hat and sunglasses are good to bring as the glare from the sun off the sea, can be strong. Always dress for a cooler day than forecast; many days it’s 70 degrees on land, but it feels like 50 degrees on the ocean. Bait is free and we supply hooks and sinkers to rod renting customers if needed ($1.50 per sinker & two hooks). Customers dropping a rod overboard will be charged $100. Request a safety rope if you are afraid of dropping a rod overboard. You can bring a cooler if you like. We will give you a bucket to use or a bag for your fish if you don’t have one.
When You Arrive
We suggest getting to the boat about one half hour prior to sailing time. There is plenty of free, convenient dockside parking available. If you purchased your ticket(s) online or over the phone, please check in at the “Bahia Marina Tackle Shop” to get your physical ticket / receipt which is required to board the boat. The boat and tackle shop are on the south side of the “Fish Tales” building. You can purchase your tickets in the tackle shop and board the boat. They usually begin boarding about 15 to 20 minutes before sailing time.
Fish Cleaning
You can get your fish cleaned back at the marina at the end of the trip. There are fish cleaning tables right on the dock and they will fillet your catch and bag them up for a nominal fee. If you purchased your ticket(s) online or over the phone, please check in at the “Bahia Marina Tackle Shop” to get your physical ticket / receipt which is required to board the boat.
